Tippah County is the home of The Shark 102.3 radio station and FM tower. Much of the country was struck by a massive Ice Storm January 24-26 hitting Northeast Mississippi with a one-two punch of thick ice followed by eight days of frigid temperatures. Normally mild Mississippi was not structurally prepared for such a brutal system. This radio station was frozen and without power for eight days. Supplies and volunteers began to pour in before the ice melted. Many were frozen in at home with no heat, no power, no water. This page is dedicated to helping North Mississippians, especially those in Tippah County, find the resources they need in the aftermath of this catastrophic winter storm. If you have additional resources, please call us at 662-837-1023 or email us by clicking the button below. E We are stronger together!!
